Weather Resistant
Weather Resistant
What is the hardest stone (marble, granite, etc.) that can be weatherproof, durable, and stainless steel?
The reason why I want to know is because I need to select a material to be used in a cemetery of my father who passed away recently. Since not be able to forever change the material that is Used Once, I have to be sure of a stone that can last forever and does not corrode, or change its shape or color over time. Please let me know. All responses are welcome. Thank you very much.
Granite polished finish is the best. It can be treated with a product that will seal the pores so that not stain. Stay away from soapstone, slate, polished granite and marble. These all need periodic sealing with mineral oil, and will be a lot of maintennance over the years.
The manufacture of bullet resistant products
To improve security, different materials have been developed and incorporated into various applications. One of the biggest materials that have been developed by man is of composite materials. These materials are actually a combination of two or more materials to produce better and features improved material. The main objectives of incorporating two or more materials in one material are: to complement the shortcomings of the component materials, and to improve the desirable properties of component materials.
One of the most popular composite materials today is bullet-proof glass. Bulletproof glass is technically a type of laminated glass. While laminated glass is a type of glass that holds together the shattered, bullet-proof glass has the ability to resist breakage, most especially one that is caused by a bullet. The basic concept of laminated glass is the superposition of the fibers between layers of glass to keep the material glass stronger and more compact.
The most common type of fiber used for layers of bulletproof glass is polycarbonate. This material has the ability to resist penetration by bullets. Therefore, the bullet-proof materials to provide a safer alternative for building materials. There is a wide variety of bullet-proof products that are out on the market.
These products are recognizable by their trade names. The trade names usually refer to the main component of the products subject bulletproof. Some of the bullet-proof products that are in high demand in the market include bullet-proof windows, bullet-proof panels of the wall, drywalls bullet proof, bullet resistant doors, armored vehicles and bulletproof transparencies to name few.
Above all, the bullet-proof panels of the wall is used in the construction of safe rooms and panic rooms. Moreover, bullet-proof drywalls are used as reinforcements of existing walls. On the other hand, the bullet-proof glass is used in bullet-proof cars and armored vehicles, well. bullet resistant transparencies usually used in banks and similar establishments.
There are a variety of bullet resistant transparencies to suit different applications. Surprisingly, these bullet-proof gauge slides are available in different sizes and thickness. Moreover, these are affordable and profitable. Most banks use bullet resistant transparencies because these materials prevent penetration by a bullet in his side, but allow penetration from the other side. With this setting, the people are protected, but are allowed to protect themselves when the need arises.
A the most common materials used in the manufacture of bullet resistant polycarbonate transparencies. bulletproof transparencies that are made of this material are resistant to scratches, weather resistant, dye allowed, and lighter than laminated glass. Although there are other materials used to manufacture bullet resistant transparencies, These basically a result of similar properties.
