Water Heater
How I can know if my water heater is broken?
My water heater has been running well since someone broke a pipe water in the city and not yet have water for a day and a half. I didn't think my water heater off until it was too late so I think the resistance are in poor condition. I have a bit of Hot Water, but not enough to take a shower. That is until this morning and I have no hot water at all. Can anyone tell me how to check and see if my water heater was broken without having to call someone.
If it's an electric heater, then remove the covers outdoors. at the top, you must have a brown thing with a line on it and a red button, press the button and release (the switch) if moving water can be heard inside and then you have it. You may have to drain the tank completely (closed on power and water supply first) Connect a garden hose good size to drain the tank. Open the hot side in the kitchen to get the water out. Close the tap and disconnect the hose and close the valve, and in turn water and open the faucet and let the water slowly to the air pressure brake lines can be long, turn the power back on and check the switch and wait. If you do not receive hot water and then you may need new heating elements.
