Windows Me is very buggy I?

My new laptop for school is pre-loaded with Windows Millennium and blocks until I switch to Windows alot.should 2000 or XP Lite. Or is there a solution for me to set the fall ups. Viso is a Sony PCG-XG39 850mhz with 256 RAM maximum.

GRADE UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
