Internal antenna vs. external antenna.?
I am considering buying a mobile phone with internal antenna. I have a suspicion that internal antennas are worse than external ones in terms of signal gain. Can anyone confirm this? Technical terms like dB or polarization welcome! Thanks.

The gain of an antenna is expressed in dBi, i.e. dB relative to an “intrinsic” antenna.
An intrinsic antenna is a theoretical model used for purposes of comparison.
