Dark Elf Corsairs From Warhammer?

Hello, Im stuck at home for a week with my new Dark Elf Battalion is: 28 Dark Elf Warriors 20 Corsairs and 5 Knights a cold but I still do not have books or the rules. What is the most effective way for me to build these without breaking the rules? I decided to have only warriors with crossbows mower and let the pirates do all the melee as I am better at stealth / tactical combat (the people im also playing against battalions have only basic at this stage) can I have10 pirates with hand crossbow and 10 with two handguns?

Sounds like 're in the right direction. However, keep in mind that if done with the Corsairs two different sets of weapons, have to be used as two different regiments as can only choose one type of weapon for each regiment (with some exceptions, including murderers and sergeants Dark Elf equipment or commanders differently, but the golden rule is on the right). To begin, I'd suggest two regiments of 14 soldiers each, two out of 10 pirates (It is already doing) and a regiment of 5 Cold One Knights. These will make a good military base to start playing with and you can then decide how to expand each regiment, or what units to add, once I had a few laps on the table.
