Opinions, which is better…?
A backpack or Messenger Bag on a motorcycle? I would be commuting mainly for school so would need a place to carry books. I would need to carry things like Water Bottle, snacks (easily become hypoglycemic) phone, First Aid kit, etc. By the way please do not say Saddle Bags because I need something I can take with me. Also, I am a girl (which probably explains the fact that I want a messenger bag 
) and riding a cruiser so I am in an upright position.

Great answer! Thanks for considering the cool factor, I did not even consider it. The way I see it, I am a girl, riding a motorcycle, in full gear, one cannot get much cooler or sexier than that. 
A Leather Backpack does seem best because in the probability that I crash, God Willing I won’t, but the chance is there. Thanks again!!!

Backpack will be more secure, messenger bags can slip and move around a bit.
