Ideas for a picnic, but simple yum?

often take the children on a picnic most of the time we go fishing and take a picnic im trying to find some simple but yum picnic ideas usually takes a hot chicken rolls, salad and something sweet, but it gets old real fast any ideas would be big thanks

Pack a cooler. Take fresh fruit. Melons, oranges, apples, etc. For food, put the potato or macaroni salad and lunch meat. Also mustard, mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, whatever your family likes. I have a burner camp stove and a pot flights I have in a store negotiation. Perfect to heat a can of pork and beans, or soup, or spaghetti-O, whatever. Mix a hot plate with cold dishes is always nice. ***** Added info ***** forgotten the bread. I like pita, but bitter, French baguettes are good. Add soda, and maybe a split of wine for you and your husband.
