Need a pattern for a canvas military canteen cover – WW2 era.?

I found my father’s WW2 (1945) 1 quart canteen he used when in the Marines fighting in the tropics around Japan and Guam (Micronesia, etc). It is complete with the detachable cooker. I’m looking for a pattern to make a canvas cover for it, so I can hang it from my belt. I have the fabric, I just need a pattern I can download, cut, and sew together the cover. Unemployed now and have to save some bucks by doing a lot of things for myself.

The canteen wouldn’t be worth much because it’s got dents and dings from use and probably had a bullet or two bounce off of it while he was in combat fighting Japanese soldiers on far away islands in the Pacific.
The canteen is an M1910 model and is made of heavy aluminum quite capable of deflecting a glancing bullet of a small caliber.

check model hobby shops, they often carry books with uniforms for various services and countries – its a series, I just can’t remember the name – they are used for painting giudes for military modelers.
