TaylorMade R7 425 vs Original R7 Quad
As a current owner TaylorMade R7 Quad is difficult to imagine that the new TaylorMade R7 Quad 425 could be much better than the original. I did some research and I was pleasantly surprised that TaylorMade was able to get more of the new R7 Quad 425. While this is not entirely a TaylorMade R7 425 review does provide some details on why the new work better.
Here are the essential details and basic between R7 425 R7 Quad vs Quad: – 17% more weight mobile-7% increase in MOI – 45% more space horizontal CG movement – 30% wider range of lateral shot adjustment – 13% increase in adjustment backspin rate – 9.3% larger footprint of the address – 25% thinner clubhead walls / 40% thinner than average metalwood model – 33% lower center of gravity in relation to the center of the clubface
All of the above means that the TaylorMade R7 425 driver promotes a wider change in the shot shape and trajectory, is more permissive, and visually encourages greater confidence.
When comparing the two seemed to deliver more new a draw when the cartridges are placed in a tie. The R7 Quad 425 also produces a higher launch angle to promote a higher flight when the cartridges are placed for a career high neutral.
Another big difference between the R7 Quad 425 and the original is the center of gravity in relation to the center of the clubface. The new 425 has a CG position 3.3 mm below the center of the face compared to 2.5 mm for the original, giving the R7 Quad 425 more clubface area for above the CG. This in turn activates the vertical effect of changes, which occurs when the top of the club face moves back and away from the target at impact. This produces a higher launch angle and lower spin-rate, which is ideal conditions for greater casting distance.
The new R7 425 also incorporates Taylor Made third generation of inverted cone (TIC). It also has new TaylorMade RE * AX shaft technology, which prevents ovaling. Ovaling causes the axis of loading and release energy inconsistently, which is given to the club face and then to the ball. The R7 Quad 425 is an amazing club, which also comes in a TP model being used by many of the advantages. If you're in the market for a new driver I recommend looking online TaylorMade drivers.
