If possible, buy the Gen6 used or buy the Gen4 and get the Gen4 to Gen6 upgrade kit for $20.
Only get this gun if you specifically want Milsim and are an experienced paintballer.
With the Gen6 you will be outgunned most of the time and its a gun that needs a little more maintenance than others. You are mainly paying for a mag fed gun and its expensive.
Since your a newer player, I would recommend getting the Alpha Black Tactical or the newer version of the ABT:

It is based off a tippmann 98C which is one of the most reliable guns you can get + it has the MilSim mods. Then its simply modding it with performance parts to fit the style of play you want.
