How safe is the beach of Patong? I'm from Singapore and is going there in a few days.?

I know that when I was in Europe, theft and robbery boot was a big problem. I have plans to do a lot of walking along the beach of Patong. Should I take my money in a Fanny Pack, a normal bag or a Sling Bag? Please advise. Appreciate advice from those who have been there as tourists. Thanks!

As a traveler, always good to play it safe and be smart street. You do not want to wear expensive things with you, or want to flash too much money at all. You never know who might be watching. Popular tourist places, not only premises, which may be a threat, even the foreigners go to such places of destination for tourists as long as peers can find easy target, I do not want be one. In Phuket, an ATM card will do well to withdraw cash. ATMs are abundant and easily accessible. Check with your bank in office for the development of cash abroad. Some let you do it for free.
