Peak Backpack
"What backpack should choose?
I am new backpack. My friends and I are looking forward to season 3 bag. We will probably just be kids weekend but eventually could go on longer trips. We are not able to spend a fortune though. I started to look at the Galaxy and the High Peak Tibet REI 755. What do you recommend for Nice Pack. I wish I had something more comfortable than load (must have access side pockets for stuff in the middle or end without having to pull everything out.) In addition, I'd appreciate any advice on Mummy bags, 1 to 3 man tents, and everything you need. Live near the REI, Bass Pro, Cabela's and Gander Mountain. I do not mind asking for something on the line either. Thanks In advance, thanks for your reply Josh. When REI normally have their big annual sale? I could end Kelty Moraine going with.
Two of the most important things when out of the back country are the boots and backpack. If you are not comfortable boots or package will not have the best of times. I really think the Arc'Teryx Bora 80 Pack is the best around. It is more expensive however. Since you have an REI close by you might want to wait for their big sale they have every year. I have my Bora 80 for over 50% off. I also want to look at the REI packs because they do is that they have their backpacks made by other companies package and label REI. Last known Arc'teryx was doing all packages REI. A tip for when you are looking for in a package. REI will have bags of weight you can fill a backpack. Fill the packet to a weight you normally think would fill and then use them in a few minutes. You will get a better idea of how the package for you. Second point, a package that fits you and should not have space between the Shoulder Straps and back / shoulder. Good luck with your search pack If you are going to be a Packer season three I would look for a bag that is rated up to about 15 degrees.
