How do you keep water in a Hydration Pack freezing, when on the slopes?
I have a friend who has the Camelbak Thermal Control "Kit" and does not work all. I think that even when it blows the Water Back into the reservoir, there is still enough water left in the valve to freeze. In addition to taking a drink every 30 seconds, what are some tips to keep the water in the hose / nozzle from freezing? In addition, anyone We recommend you just bring a Water Bottle in a backpack?
Camelbaks I do not use at all for this very reason (most of my outdoor activities performed at the top, where it is cold even in summer). A Nalgene bottle Wide Mouth works best.
