Where I can take a course in ice climbing and mountaineering in general?

I have recently become interesting in Outdoor Sports such as climbing, hiking and yeh well thats about it. I was wondering where I could take a course in ice climbing instructor and climbing in general only. I was thinking it makes sense you have courses like maybe the last in a week or two and only teach the method and practice of ice climbing and other things like securing a rope. So if anyone has a reference or a website that would really appreciate it. "Thank you

School National Outdoor Leadership or "NOLS" offers these courses, but they last an entire semester up to 84 days and cost about $ 10000.
