More Color
Question makeup for Latinas and girls mixed: How I can use more colors without looking weird?

I'm confused and Black Puerto Rico and my complexion is much lighter than a mocha in Black, but darker than the olive complexion of Latino women think I am one toasted caramel skinned. My eyes are dark and and dark long hair. I really do not know how to do my makeup. Eyeshadow in particular. I do not know how to combine more than One Color to make it look good. I tend to wear shades neutral as pink or gold on the eyelids, but they almost melt in my skin tone. Right now, I wear the same makeup every day, foundation, black mascara, shadow Pink eye and lip balm. It's so simple! How do I use more color without looking weird?

i am mixed black and Hispanic and I know what you're happening. try a dark brown eye shadow with a damp eyeliner brush, eyeliner and smudge a bit to give your eyes more depth. question use a darker brown color, but not too dark, along the crease and blend with a Light Brown with a little gloss on top. then in the face with a lighter tone, perhaps a green olive or a plum or purple shade. Hope this helps!
