Waistpack Maxpedition M1 Waistpack Another Sissy not only

The M1 Waistpack is one of the most popular in the Maxpedition range of belts.

The M1 is 15 cm long by 11cms wide and about 8-10cm deep. There is a main compartment that is secured by two large YKK zippers who really are manipulated using paracord pulls. Inside the main compartment there is a space with two side pockets a little against the wall.
Pretty simple.

The second compartment is a little more interesting. It has an elastic restraint can be adjusted with some heavy
elastic cord fixing in place by cordlock. I guess the idea is to create a system to allow the bellows compartment
expand to accommodate a larger item.

The outside compartment is also secured by a lid that has both velcro and a high pressure closing level to avoid dislodging. There are two smaller caches I have not mentioned. One outside of the leaf that is a zippered compartment, good for your coins or perhaps
even a condom. The other is inside the compartment bellows, and have not found anything to fall in there yet, but give me time.

Finally, the M1 includes a super sturdy belt loop will take to anything up to a 3-inch belt. Alternatively, you can use to secure your M1 to another Maxpedition pack with its patented system that uses belts Molle. It is not something I studied but I'm sure some people find it useful to the right.

So what does one use the M1, and why buy in the first place? Basically, you can take your essential equipment with you, if you prefer not to be carrying a larger package everywhere. It will take a multi-tool, documents identity, flashlights, spare cells, Cell Phone,
Space Pen, and some detail and some other parts without any problem at all.

Problems with the M1? So far, none. The thing is built like a tank, the normal rules of Maxpedition. The only objection I have is that
I could have finished with a small side pockets on the main compartment. The reason being is when you are pushing things in it while in motion, tend to catch on the edge of the pocket.

I think only one pocket would have been nice for the main compartment, there are plenty of other holes distributed along hidey little thing. I would also say that I think
Velcro on the bottom of the bellows flap is a bit unnecessary, but I guess it will be very useful if you forget to snap the lock closed, it is quite possible when you're in motion.

All in all though, the M1 is a winner, and $ 20 more or less, you can not really fault. I recommend it to anyone looking for a transportation system that does not scream "Michael Jackson fan."

The M1, like all Maxpedition products, is available in basic black, Olive Green and khaki.
