CHI Irons ON QUESTION?

So my chi regularly recently broke and I just bought one yesterday its new Ultra Chi, which currently uses for school and I really enjoyed it, something was different, I guess it was wayy better straightening, but anyway heres my questions 1.FHI 's are better than CHI because I almost bought one? Chi 2.Mini guard kit includes heat and iron bag all for $ 100. But: My mom said do not get mini flat iron because he said there was something in them that she didn't like? What is your opinion about them?
