Mini Mule

Mini Mule
I have recently aquired what I thought was a mini donkey how do I tell if its a mini donkey or mule?

I had bought him from a swap meet near my hometown and my new shoer had come out to trim his hooves and told me he was a mini mule, while I am sure he knows more than me how can I tell the difference? I did not think mini mules would hee-haw like a donkey and mine does?

A donkey has thick fur inside the ears, a muse has ears like a horse does–all smooth on the inside.

The nose is much longer on a mule and the body/tail is different.

Donkeys are more compact, furrier and usually have a stripe down the spine. Look up some pictures on google.
