'0 Mountain Bike: Raleigh Mojave Vs. Sports Diamondback response?
Trying to reduce the number of bike trails and good for beginners bikeing mountain with jumps lower then 3 feet. (Probably a lot lower) I am a beginner, 5'7 "and 140 pounds. I used BMX go so I know a lil about bikes, but not too much per MB. Not want to be left with overpriced junk. Check speks and prices and tell me what you think. There are also links to pages with more detailed specifications and photo. *** The Mojave Deorev = Shimano shifters & derailleurs and RockShox Tora 289-100mm travel fork. *** The answer = SRAM X-5 shifter and derailleurs, and Marzocchi MZ Comp, 120mm travel fork. Speks more detail and photos can be taken in website. PEACE!
Although is conceivable that one flown from the two bikes are made to Raleigh and use the same framework, and although generally prefer Sram, the edge goes to Raleigh. The turning point is the controls … the weakest link in the line of the entire SRAM X-5 shifters (although the gear changes are great). Almost the entire line of Cannondale is made in the same factory to both the Raleigh and Diamond … I have seen with my own eyes … brands no longer matter.
