Where I can find a good laptop really cheap laptop?

I'm looking for a portable laptop, thin, lightweight, built-in wireless card and Windows XP not Vista. (Unless you can convince me that Vista is a good thing.) would be nice if they also had a player DVD in it. I do not want to spend much, as no more than $ 500 or $ 600. Where I can find one? I want new, because I want the warranty and backup from a reputable dealer. Help?

To get one for that price with XP would have to search eBay, but I bought a new computer with Vista and not bad. I I do not recommend anyone to upgrade their old XP to Vista, but when buying a new computer is not a bad idea because it's built for it. In the search for a laptop here's what to look for: Get at least 1024 MB of memory (1 GB) Get at least 100 GB hard drive (more the merrier in the two ^) Get Vista Home Premium (Basic not worth it, it would be better than anything else) This is very likely that your price range and you can definitely get one with a DVD burner (and possibly lightscribe if you look at HP) Buy when on sale, all models go on sale and save a lot of cash. I recommend HP for its reliability, but you're on a budget (like most of us) have a look at Acer. Start a little cheaper than some brands but not make very good computers. Hope this helps and email with any further questions.
