The Battle for Wesnoth

During the Open Source Management course, our lector Kaido Kikkas, introduced a game: The Battle for Wesnoth. I’m not very much into gaming, but after taking a closer look at the game, I got really addicted. The game is a free software and released under the GNU General Public Licence. More than that - it’s a cross-platform application, so it’s available in different operating systems.

Interesting is the fact, that the game is developed by a huge community - users submit their thoughts and ideas to the game’s forum and wiki and these aspects are taken in consideration of building new campaigns and designing new units. It’s possible to download hundreds of different campaigns, which all have also been released under the GNU GPL.
