How do you find a qualified dr. in a certain field. Back surgery is serious and there are so many drs?

Agree that asking your primary care doctor for a referral is a good idea.

Even better: If you know anyone who works in the OR, ask them who they would choose to do their surgery.

Personally, I’d choose a neurosurgeon over an orthopedic surgeon for MY back. I’ve worked with a lot of both.
