tornado experience’s?

i was at a dirt bike enduro in sc and i just got back from the first of three loops to refuel and such and i was about to take off when i see a whole bunch of little tornado’s wreaking havoc on our tents canopy’s etc. now this was in a big cornfield with hundreds of people in it, most with tents and canopy’s also. so you’ve got to imagine all this weak flimsy metal catching the wind and getting thrown around like toothpicks right in the middle of a race, it was a weird site to say the least.

These mini whirlwinds are not tornadoes per se but little dust devils (whirl winds) as some people call them. I remember playing softball once and one of these little whirlwinds picked up 2nd base and shot it into the outfield. That was crazy, so I know what you are talking about. They can’t do too much damage like a larger tornado which is more deadly and will kill. Still, I wouldn’t want to be caught up in one.
