What is the best way to clean and dry a Sleeping Bag?

It is a Coleman sleeping bag, 100% cotton I believe.

We take all our Sleeping Bags to the dry cleaners. It only costs us about $5(canadian) per bag.
The tag might say if you can wash it in your machine.
I tried that years ago, and the sleeping bag came out of the washing machine ripped all along the seems and zipper hem.
