How do i stop chicken hawks?

I had 4 chickens killed in one moring just after sunrise is when the Hawks attacked, they came right into the city og Phoenix, and latley there have been reports of Coyotes(the animal) roaming through neighborhoods….. it is amazing how keen these predators are specially after a rain storm they tend to go into nearby cities to get “easy pickings”…. this has been years of observations … but other than a covered concealed cage and I dont know what else to do….?

Geeeez… give a chicken hawk a break, it’s a beautiful creature, and unlike your “caged chickens” it is wild and doing what wild animals do. Why on God’s green earth would anyone shoot or hurt it for ANY reason !!! Fix your chicken cage so no predator can invade it, if that is not possible, you might want to think about finding a nice safe farm for them to live on, without fear of being attacked…again. As far as the, “coyotes in the city”story goes, it is far more likely that the “coyotes” are someones stray and starving dog that may have “packed up” with other domestic strays like it’s self, and are simply hunting food. I can almost guarentee…there are… no coyotes in your “hood”. xoxoxo
