Card Holder

Card Holder
A credit card can be transferred after the death of a primary?

For many years I was a caregiver to my elderly parents. We have a credit card, for which my father is the principal card holder, and my mother and I are authorized users. However, I am the only one that uses the card and the invoice is paid in full each month, with no outstanding balance. I can use the card for everything, groceries, pay bills, order prescriptions, etc. Now, my father is seriously ill and can not live much longer. What if God forbid he dies? Can the credit card account be transferred to my mother or my name?

No, as both are only authorized users, the credit card company not to allow the card to be placed on any their names if their father dies. You would have to request a new card if you want a card with that company. The only way to continue using the card is if his father is capable should contact the lender and request that you or your mother is placed in the account as a regular user. If it does, then the card is transferred to the person who appears as the common user. Which is placed in the account as a regular user will be responsible for "all" the charges made in the account. I'm sorry your father is so sick and I hope his condition improves.
