What is a reasonable distance to travel in a day on a canoe trip?

There will be two canoes with three people in each. Each person has been on a canoe trip before so they know what they are doing.

depends if you are on a river or lake, wind, load, etc.
we took a couple of week long trips on the Buffalo River in middle Tennessee with one adult and one inexperienced teen aged boy in each canoe
we had a lot of flatwater and a few stretches of mild class 1 & class 2 water
15 to 20 miles a day was tiring but no real problem
