Power Cycling: Cycling Friends Questions for me?

Hello Friends Cycling: Venturing 75 miles on my trip this weekend in preparation to and fro my training century. I have some questions nutrition: 1. What are some good dinner ideas for the night before a long trip? I will be riding the next morning. 2. For the trip, I have planned to bring a Clif Bar, Blueberry muffin, and I also bought packets of GU. Any other suggestions? 3. When do you eat GU (at what point during the trip?)? 4. How often should I feed my body with food during the 75 miles? 5. How often should i stop for a rest and stretch? I get my CamelBak with me filled with water. Thanks! What about eating something like jasmine rice the night before a long trip? Could it be as good as the pasta?

Having a pasta dinner the night before use. You want energy available for use. Eat a Clif bar about an hour before use. It takes that time to allow be digested into usable fuel for your body. You will need more food than a Clif bar, a roll, and GU some packages on this ride. Stop and grab a sandwich halfway. Do not build a food or fluid deficit early in the race. After the first 30 minutes, drink every 15 minutes, though not thirsty. I like to go down the bike and stretch every 20 miles. The key is to not stop for long. You do not want it to cool while you need heat again. I recommend using a sports drink Gatorade instead of water. It makes a big difference, especially near the end of the line when it is likely to be low in electrolytes. It seems to work best for me when consume food and hydrate at a rate even during a long journey rather than the larger fuel stops. If you do 75, the century will be no problem for you.
