Camelbak Commander
Camelbak Commander
Black or ACU colored Camelbak Backpack for army and civilian use?
I am looking to purchase the Camelbak Bfm after much debate. My question is what color would be best to get? I realize black is still within regulation but is this universally true because I also read that it is at the discretion of the commander whether or not soldiers can wear black bags. I also want to make sure this bag is suitable for civilian use. I’m not sure how I feel about wearing ACUs with civilian clothes. I avoided it in college because I didn’t want to label myself but I’ve graduated now and it may not matter as much. Thoughts on that? Also if I got a Black Bag would I be able to use that on deployments? I feel as if black would not be a tactical color out in Iraq/Afghanistan.
If my experience is the standard then this is an easy one. Buy the black because you will be issued the ACU one when you arrive at your unit or when you deploy. Either way you will keep the one you are issued until you turn in your TA-50.
