How can you make a point on a black and white photo of color?

If anyone knows what I mean with just one part of a photo in black and black, please help ….

You can use the GIMP to color selectively. It is free to download. This is written below belong to Photoshop, but the same procedure should work in the GIMP, possibly with some minor changes in the names of tools. First open your photo in your editing program .. Then go to Layer – Duplicate Layer Click OK Then go to Image – Adjustments – Hue / Saturation Drag the Saturation slider hard left to take the photo in black and white. Click OK Then get the eraser tool in the toolbox on the left side of the screen. It is usually the next tool in the clone stamp. Just move your mouse over the tool, and tell Eraser. When you have selected the Eraser, go up the Brush options box at the top of the screen, and click the arrow downfacing. Set to brush hardness to 100% will have a precise control of the selection. You may also need to increase or decrease the brush size to suit. Clear away any black and white where you want the color to be revealed. When you go to Layer – Flatten Image Then just do a Save As to save the picture anywhere. steve
