Big Bag

Big Bag
Is a Coach Duffel Bag too big to bring as a carry-on for airlines?

I just bought a duffel bag thinking that I would be able to use it as a carry on, but now I’m thinking that its going to be too big for the carry on limits. I’m flying Delta.

It depends on its size when packed. It must be able to fit under the seat in front of you or in the overhead compartments. Most U.S. domestic, non commuter airlines allow a suitcase of 22″x14″x9″ as carry on. Many allow a second smaller item as well such as a tote, cosmetic bag, briefcase, etc. For some international flights the size restriction may be 18″x14″x9″. This is a recommended carry-on size and will vary from airline to airline so you need to check the website for the airline to be certain to get the correct information. Here is one link that may be of some help.
