Backpack Cover
Is it my responsibility to cover the professional fees for childcare checks?
The agreement I have with the daycare provider for my son is to send a check to my son's backpack each Friday morning. Recently, when I went to get my son on the night of Thursday, she asked me if I could deposit money in your checking account the next day (as opposed to sending the check in her purse) because she would not be able to do the bank. I agreed to do so, in an effort to be helpful. Well, the next day, I tied on the job and was unable to deposit the money. Instead, I paid cash when I took my son. She said it was not a problem, do not worry about that. But a week later informing me that the fact that I did that day deposit four checks bounced and she wants I to cover overdraft fees. Am I responsible?
checks knowing that there are insufficient funds in the account when writing information is a crime. With the hope of getting money in the account before the check clears is not a defense, is evidence of the crime. You should let the team know this and refuse to be complicit in the crime.
