tune two Alpine R 15 box fan?

The suggested length is 27 "so that the depth of the vent opening (I'll call A) plus the width of the back (I'll call it B) must be equal to 27" and volume of ventilation should be equal to 0.51 cubic feet or 881.28cu. in the vent height and width is known so the opening area is 22.5sq.in. 22.5 * 27 is not equal to 881.28 (area length *) as the volume divided by area 881.28 / 22.5 = 39 168 so you need about 12 inches. longer to get your volume with the area you have. so that it folds upon itself in the change, doubling the width in which to turn around in 16.5. then you need 10.5 inches its length to get 27 "if you look in my edition of his diagram http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2050599030106057301vdxtib A = 16.5" B = 12 "C = 10.5 "hope this helps, it is not true but it's pretty close
